Hear about the new National Guidance on Economic Assessment from the LPIA Find out about the Audit Commission's work on councils' approach to the recession and about its forthcoming assessment of all upper tier areas in CAA Listen to the HCA explain the implications of its recently launched Skills and Knowledge Action Plan. Our theme reflects the double challenge of a major cyclical recession and the implications of restructuring towards a low carbon economy. Plus, as we are in Bournemouth, we will look at the economic prospects of coastal towns and their problems and opportunities.
